If you’re not sure where to start or you think you may need something more, you should talk to your GP. They’re trained to assess and provide support to address many mental health issues and can refer you to specialist services if you need them.
Below is a list of free digital tools which can help as well as information on key helplines. This is not a complete list of support and there are other lists of services, such as on Healthpoint or the Mental Health Foundation.

An online cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) programme which helps you understand anxiety and depression and learn different ways to better manage your mental health.
Provides information about depression and anxiety, self-tests, personal stories about navigating depression and anxiety, and ways to support yourself or someone else to feel better.
For students 5-13 years old in Years 1 to 8 – a free online toolkit of mental health and wellbeing resources.
A chatbot app created with, and for, 12-18 year olds. Users can choose from various wellbeing courses and learn proven resilience strategies.
A self-help tool for young people aged 12 to 19 with mild to moderate depression.
A space created with rangatahi for rangatahi to learn and listen to stories about your hauora (wellbeing), identity, culture and mental health.
